Exactly 1 year from the start
What you're looking at is a $10,000 guitar that was designed by a vote.
For twelve months a few dozen people paid $10 a month to decide how it got built — shape, woods, fretboard, inlays, pickups. It's finished now, and one of them takes it home.
Here’s what happens next.
It’s going on tour — September-October. The guitar is joining the BGS enTour (US East and West), so it’ll be out where people can see it and play it. The draw happens at the final stop. Precise dates haven’t been announced yet.
There will be several winners that day, not one. Partner giveaways — Pegcity and Protest The Hero — are batched with the main draw. Winners are picked at random on the day, on camera.
If you’ve made all 12 payments, you’re done. That’s $120 total. You’ll see your subscription cancelled — no worries, everyone is on the list for the draw either way. A few of you joined later and have a payment or two left; those will finish on their own. Your names go on the case, and on the workshop wall when it eventually gets built.
Never joined? You can still get in. One payment of $120 — the same total everyone else paid, just without the year of voting. It buys one entry, same odds as everyone else. Right now that’s roughly a 1-in-50 shot at a $10,000 guitar. Entries close on the day of the draw.
COMMUNITY BUILD SPECS:
Introducing the Zero-Maintenance concept:
Every part is designed to withstand any humidity or temperature swing with little to no need for adjustment. In most cases you will never need to adjust the truss rod, stainless steel frets resist wear and the treated Obsidian fretboard will never shrink to expose fret ends. And in general I consider my guitars to be indestructible, seeing how THIS Baryon survived both a truck fire and drowning.
AXION 6 string, 25-26” multiscale

TOP - Spalted Maple

How the draw works
Entry. Everyone who paid the full $120 across the year is in. Late entries are a single $120 payment. One entry each, either way.
Closing date. Entries close on the day of the draw in October.
The draw. Winners are drawn at random at the final tour stop, in a live-stream. Several prizes go out that day: the guitar, plus the Pegcity and Protest The Hero giveaways.
Shipping. I ship worldwide, you cover import fees.
If you don’t win. Everyone gets a Community Build PDF book
