Thank you for all the input! It led me to the concept that I wanted to introduce for a while, and this is the perfect opportunity.
ZERO MAINTANANCE GUITAR
This is what I hope will eventually become a high-end workhorse, if that even makes sense.
A guitar that is not affected by humidity or temperature swings, making it perfect for difficult climates or touring.
COMMUNITY BUILD SPECS:
BODY - Roasted Swamp Ash
TOP - Spalted Maple (extra-thin and epoxy-soaked for stability)
NECK - Roasted Flame Maple (reinforced with carbon fiber rods)
FRETBOARD - Obsidian Ebony (thermally treated, dyed and stabilized hard maple)
I’ve also taken it upon myself to add matching pickup covers, as I didn’t like the way pickups were eating into the top.
Also, I would probably make it a 3-piece neck for extra stability.
