The restoration is complete and the guitar looks quite as stunning as it was originally.

I started sanding the fretboard, but quickly realized the neck is twisted, and there’s only one efficient way to restore the proper geometry — put it back on the machine. I have this handy centering jig that makes positioning quick and easy.
I had to fret it the old-school way, as I couldn’t fit it under a fret press. Fret clamps would have been handy.
The back of the neck had some weird dents with cloth texture. That definitely didn’t happen inside a Pelican case. Still a mystery to me. Anyway, I fixed those and touched up the color.
The original control cover was warped beyond repair, so I made a new one to match the neck.
